US regulatory status (FDA)

Sucralose is a permitted high-intensity sweetener in the U.S. under 21 CFR 172.831. FDA approved it for general-purpose sweetening in 1999. It is heat-stable and used in beverages, baked goods, and dairy products. U.S. and EU both permit sucralose with category-specific use conditions.
